33 Bury Street | Projects | Forcia

The Solution

Works included an extension to the second floor, introduction of balconies, a raised floor to allow essential services to run above the existing concert floor slab, and alterations to improve the quality of accommodation on the fourth floor and provide additional head height for the lift.

The Challenge

Formerly office accommodation, Bury House was reinstated its original residential use, and we were tasked with restoring its upper floors. A chief consideration was the building’s Grade II listed status and position within the St James’s Conservation Area, calling for a sensitive and sustainable approach.
