The Solution

Forcia utilised the latest demolition technology with our skilled Brokk operators to break through the piled wall. Given that basement slab works were undertaken within the groundwater zone, we used secant piling to retain water and allow for the safe formation of the structure.

The Challenge

Forcia was commissioned to connect the existing rear garden extension at the property with a new basement. There was also a large contiguous piled wall that required careful demolition, and the additional difficulty of conducting structural works within a groundwater zone.

The Impact

The project had a number of obstacles to overcome but Forcia’s solution-driven approach meant that we navigated all complex issues with minimal disruption. What’s more, we were able to use 100% reclaimed steel in the temporary works, enhancing the project’s sustainability.
