Cat A remodelling and refurbishment of a Georgian, Grade II listed townhouse in the iconic Soho district.

The Forcia team converted a former residential building into a 21st Century character-filled workspace featuring a new fourth floor extension – repurposing the space for a new era.

The Solution

We erected a single storey infill extension at ground floor level along with a mansard roof infill extension for extra floorspace, which was fitted out with a kitchenette, WC facilities, meeting rooms and new lift for a modern, elegant office.

The Challenge

We set out to sensitively restore the townhouse and enhance its future potential. The original rooms needed a full refurbishment as they had slowly eroded over the last three centuries. Covid-19 restrictions posed an additional challenge to the project’s completion.

The Impact

Windows and floor slabs were repaired or replaced and the external façade was renovated in accordance with heritage guidelines. Overall, the finished product showcases what makes the building special, giving it an exciting new lease of life.
