Works are progressing well on site in Clapham, where Forcia has recently completed the removal of the existing shopfront to make way for a new, fully compliant installation.
During the strip-out, a set of original riveted steel beams was revealed — a striking reminder of the building’s industrial heritage. These elements are being carefully retained and incorporated into the new design, bringing a sense of character and history to the finished scheme.
The next stage of works involves the installation of a 90-minute fire-rated shopfront system, specified to meet current fire safety standards while providing a clean and modern façade suitable for commercial use. This installation will be supported by secondary steelwork, designed to ensure long-term structural stability and compliance.
